Week #53
Hey everyone! this week has been really cool for me but an
emotional roller coaster! I have had some hard days and some really awesome days!
this week was kinda sad because elder vazquez got his answer and was sent home!
not only was he one of my companions but a really close friend so it was hard to
see him pack his bags and leave! i felt pretty bad! he was a really good
missionary! And he didnt want to go home! but at the same time we had a really
good week because i was able to do lots of interchanges! 4 days!! i was away
from my area! i got to work in so many areas and learn from so many elders! It
was awesome! I love being zone leader! i got to know zacatecoluca! its really
hot there! and a place called santo tomas! I loved it all! I have seen a lot of missionaries that have done there emails with the highlights of the week and i
like the idea so i think im gonna do that from now on!
1. i bet one of the elders on my interchanges 5 bucks that i could get into
a house that he said he had already contacted that didnt want anything.. i won
it was pretty funny but i didnt end up taking his money! Funny story how i got
in! I first told them that i was inpressed with how good style they had and then
i said that we needed their help! i told them we were arguing about whose tie
was cooler and that they needed to tell us which one! (we tied..) then i asked
them if they have ever had gringo friends and they said no.. i was with another
gringo and then i told them that we should totally take a picture together so
they can put it in their house and show all their friends! so they let us in we
sat down took a picture and then taught a lesson and put baptismal dates! it was
pretty wild!
2. MIRACLE! So we have an investigator named pedro that we contacted in
the street and gave him a book of Mormon with our number and he called us.. this
all happened a while ago and then he fell off the face of the earth we didnt
hear anything from him for like 2 weeks and we though we lost him! hes so great
had been to church 3 times and wanted to be baptized! So we fasted for him this
week and on Thursday he texted us and apologized for not answering his phone
and explained that he was really sick and couldn't talk.. wow! then said he had
been reading the book of Mormon the whole time knows its true and asked us if
he could be baptized that day! it was crazy! He couldn't because he lacks a bit
of the doctrine but he will probably get baptized one of these next two weeks!
The church is so true!!!
i cant think of much more but i had a great week! thaks for reading!
