Week 42! Ciudad Delgado!

Week #42
12/25/16
Hey everyone!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
This week has been super fun! Super successful despite some difficulties that we have had! Enjoyed the Christmas season and had lots of fun and have been really happy!
Tuesday we had a calm day i have had another ingrown toenail this week but unfortunately this ones a bit worse than normal and it was hurting a lot so we were walking slow and stuff but we ended up having lots of success! we had like 8 lessons and got to visit a lot of the people preparing for baptism!
Wednesday, was pretty much the same but we had the chance to put 2 baptismal dates! Hopefully that will progress! We have an investigator named josue and he is super good! he has already told us that he received his answer and knows that this church is the truth! He comes to church on his own now and will get baptized the 14th of January! Were really excited for him!!
Inline image 1Inline image 1Thursday we had the mission Christmas activity and it was super fun! We played a bunch of games and had a water fight! president asked me to be the photographer of the event so i was pretty excited!! I got to take pictures with a professional camera all day!! I miss photography a lot!! There were also a bunch of plays that every zone did and they were hilarious!! Tons of fun but we didn't get to work at all..
Inline image 1Friday i went to the doctor for my toe.. its a new doctor now and he put me on lots of drugs cause its infected.. this week he will operate on it and ill never have an ingrown toenail again! haha on that toe anyways..
Saturday i spent all day giving tours of the church because i cant work right now! but it was super successful i have like 50 people in 2 days enter the chapel to see the rooms and a short video!
Sunday was crazy! we had the most people in church than all of the zone combined! we had 8 investigators!! On CHRISTMAS!! What a great Christmas gift from heaven! Were sooo happy and everyone absolutely loved it!! Then we went home because i cant walk:( but i got to take a nap so that was nice but it felt weird!
Anyways have a fantastic week everyone!! thanks for reading!!!
p.s. i got to talk to my family and it was absolutely amazing!! I Love them sooo much!!

We had 7 investigators in church and they all have baptismal dates in January!! This week we found a new place in our area that we didnt know was part of our area so that has been fun! lots of exploring and lots of new people! We found 17 news this week!! Week 39 Ciudad Delgado!

Week # 41
12/5/16

Hey everyone!! This week has been splendid!!
I absolutely love my comp and we are working super hard! I am scared that i will leave this area this change in three weeks! itd be a big bummer because i have worked so hard to plant the seeds here and find people and i wouldnt be able to see them progress to baptism! theres so many that are so close!! We have a lawyer that were teaching that has read the boo of mormon 3 times and says he believes its true and we gave him doctrine and covenants and pearl of great price and he said he is gonna finish it in like 2 weeks! he already finish true to the faith also! Lots of people really really good that have been going to church and keeping their commitments!
Tuesday we decided that we were gonna stop visiting a lot of people so that we could focus more on the people who are really progressing and it has been going well! its hard to let them go because they're people and we want to help them but we have to keep looking for the people that the lord has prepared for us that are ready to progress! We were able to have lots of visits and the people are really understanding the lessons that were teaching! were trying to be better teachers and be more dynamic so that the people can visualize and understand the importance of the gospel principles! Great day and the start to a new and better success!
Wednesday, we had a similar day, we were able to keep working with our new technique and its been good! We are seeing lots inour area that the other churches are starting to notice how hard were working and they dont like it! HAAHA! The people are listening more to us and we are seeing things up to the point when their pastors are giving them scriptures from the book of mormon out of context to attack us and stuff like that.. pretty pathetic if ya ask me.. but its been okay were learning lots about how to help the people understand that we are here to teach in the way of the savior and we are here to serve them and love them not to convince them to do anything!
Thursday, was interesting, so a friend of my comp that served in costa rica in the ward of elder artiaga got home from his mission and came to work with us so we split up and he went with his friend and i went eith a member! we were able to do good work!! found some news and got to go to all of the visits we wanted to!!
Friday, was a day of tons of success! we had 8 lessons in one day! it was pretty great! all of the people we wanted to visit were home and remembered that we were coming!! we also committed 5 people to a baptism date!!
Saturday was a Saturday like all the others in the mission telling everyone that they should come to church! But this week we have focused on the specific promises that we can make to the according to their needs if they obey the sabbath day!
Sunday, this was the best sunday i have had in the mission, we finished the day with 10 new people and 6 baptismal dates! We had a family home evening with the family of the first counselor of the ward and none of his kids and their kds are members so we got to teach them all! IDK why no other missionaries have taught them! but i felt that i needed to ask him about his family and he said that he would appreciate it if we came to teach them! so we went and taught about the life of christ and things he did for us! it was awesome! and we had 5 people in church!! Totally stoked! i also shared my testimony in sacrament meeting! it was pretty scary haha! big ward!

Week 38 Ciudad Delgado

Week #40
11/28/16
Hola!
This week has been a fun one! lots of laughter and lots or hard work! Were enjoying the fun little ways to make ourselves crack up laughing in the streets and it has been pretty fun! I also decided this week that im going to move to costa rica.. my companion has shown me pictures and stuff and its pretty much the coolest place on earth. Plus now i speak spanish! but anyways it was a really good week!
Tuesday.. Tuesday is always the hardest day for me cause you gotta get yourself back in to the routine of working hard after a day of well not doing much! but it was an excellent day! we got to do divisions with the members and got to do lots more visits! its probably the most effective thing you can do in the misison! It allows us to go to the visits all day and have another companionship finding news all day so we end up with double work and double success! We were able to find 5 people to teach and put metas for baptism with 4 of them!
Wednesday, we had interviews with the mission president! it was good, we talked a lto about how the mission is teaching the restoration and how we can improve it so that there is more evidence and testimony.. it has been going really well! We are still learning it but weve already seen the blessings! that took up a lot of the day but we were still able to work a lot! We had some really good lessons! right now were teaching this lady named Noemi and she has progressed a lot! she is really comfortable in her church and doesn't wanna leave it but is learning more and more about the importance of a few of the principles we teach like the authority! And She went to church!! She liked it a lot! We also had a correlation with the ward mission leader and were able to figure out some very important things!! I think we will have a lot more success with the members now!
Thursday, we had a  pretty normal day lots of visits fell and we didnt have mny lessons but we had time to find new ppl because nobody was home we wanted to teach! We put 3 baptismal dates!
Friday we had a really slow day but it ended pretty good we worked really har din the night time and taught some really powerful short lessons while contacting and put a few baptismal dates!!
Saturday well if you have been reading my letters you already know that we invited everyone we possibly could to go to church! haha! Other than that we didnt do much! but we have had wonderful experiences and lots of fun! i have really loved my time with elder Artiaga! he is a great companion and we are working really hard together!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!! thanks for reading!
the pic is where we write every week! i didnt have any other pics so we took a selfie!

Sunday was a good day, but we didn't have enough people in sacrament meeting! only 4 and 2 were friends and family for the primary program.. but it was really awesome the primary program. only problem as an investigator left pretty confused lol.. it was his first time going to church!

Week 35 Ciudad Delgado!

Week #38
11/7/16
HOLA!
This week was really good! until Sunday haha! well the whole week was good but we worked really hard this week to get people committed to go to church and nobody came! it was the first time in my whole mission that only one person came. i was a bit upset but im sure that we will have more next week!!
Anyways Tuesday we had a good day, passion for all of the people that we have because Tuesdays we can fill the schedule after not working Mondays! we got lots of lessons and we got to work all day with a member so it was good success but pretty basic!
Wednesday was the day of the dead here.. it was a very interesting day. almost impossible to contact people.. we even got yelled at one time from someone who told us it was a sentimental day and that we needed to go away.. but we went to the cemetery and talked to people about the plan god has fur us in t his life and met lots of people! we left with lots of references so that is good! hopefully we can visit them all this week and help them out! but we didn't get to do much.. everyone rejected us hah!
Thursday, we were able to do the same thing as Tuesday so that was an easy day to report.. not much happened just a lot of visits but we did get to put a lot of baptismal dates too!! Saturday night before those who fell Sunday we had 31 people with a date to be baptized, now these arnt set dates like 31 will be baptized but they're goals we put with the people! It was cool! Friday we were able to do divisions with two members and have double lessons! it was the  best! we met tons of people caus eone group went to contact the other to the visits hat we had set! we ended up putting 6 more baptismal dates.
Saturday we spent the whole day passing for every person we know and trying to invite them to church! by the end of the day we had 15 people committed to come but unfortunately they didnt come! but it was a long day of lots of walking! and.. you already know how Sunday was.. a little disappointing but i enjoyed church! ALL is well here i love this area and my companion and i will be here until Christmas! im getting fatter thats about the only thing i dont like so far about the mission! but its okay i have strong legs from all the walking! Thanks for reading everyone! hope you all have a great week!

Week 33 Cuidad Delgado!!

Week #37
10-24-16
Hey everyone! this weeks email is gonna be short because we have had lots of reunions! but i have learned a lot about the importance of this church in the lives of ALL the people here on earth!

Tuesday we had a multi zone meeting! it was practically all day and when we got back to our area we didn't have much time to teach. The reunion was pretty good i learned a few things that have helped me in lessons and teaching! Something i learned was how to help investigators identify the spirit when its present in lessons and the importance of him in the role of conversion! Its really helped us out with a few investigators!! Then when we got home we went to visit a family but they wernt home.. but outside of the house two young adults were sitting down and we talked to them and ended up putting baptismal dates with them! One has already been to church! We were very happy about that! Hopefully they can progress and learn more!!
Wednesday we had a tough day! we were able to fill our schedule with visits but almost nobody was home! It was a lot of walking and a little disappointing but we ended up visiting important people! like marta! ( Who got baptized!!)
Thursday we had interchanges! i was working with our district leader elder perez! good missionary. we had a really funny experience.. well i did cause i just got to laugh! WE were teaching this lady and she was watching a little girl, the girl turned on the hose and it exploded all over my comp.. well elder perez it was probably the greatest thing ever! but it was mostly a day of introducing him to all of the people were teaching so he knows were working haha!
Friday we had another reunion.. zone meeting.. idk why but we did. it was long and spent a lot of our time but it was good! i did learn something really cool that i really liked! That this gospel blesses the lives of all those who accept it. We all know that but the way he explained it was cool. if you want blessing in work, obey the law of the tithe, if you want blessings in the family obey the lay of chastity, if you want blessings in health, obey the word of wisdom, and did that fir every blessing that we askas people! it was really cool and i have used it a few time already!
Saturday we walked around EVERYWHERE inviting all of the people that we know and teach to go to church and to join us in the trip we had to hear elder Dallin H. Oaks! it was a long day haha! most people said they couldn't go which was hard cause i understand how cool and special it is to have an apostle here but they dont. Then we had the baptism of Marta And it was super good! the talks were excellent and she was super happy!
Sunday, was super cool! Elder Oaks came to El Salvador and spoke to all of the members of the whole country! He gave an incredible message and i learned lots of cool things! it was fun to see all of the missionaries from all 3 missions here! He spoke about something i liked a lot! he spoke about the difference between this religion and others in the world, he said that all are great but pointed out the things that are especially in the church of Jesus Christ! it was pretty cool! i learned a lot! Coolest part was having marta there! I asked her what she had learned in the meeting and she said, well hermano, i learned that there is only one true church here on the earth and this is it! It was a pretty cool and exciting thing to hear! were very very happy for her!
Ended up not being short but thanks for reading!! Hope everyone has a great week!!

Week 32 cuidad delgado!

Week #36
10-17-16
Hey everyone!! this week has been great! 2 days were a little slow and kinda cruddy but we worked really hard to find new people and commit people to get to church this week! WE had some ups and some downs but in the end all turned out well! We have found lots of people and put lots of baptism dates! Monday we played volleyball as a zone and it was interesting lol, latinos dont play volleyball! but it was pretty fun! lots of laughing at how bad we all were! then we got to eat subway! that as probably the best food in the world haha! sooo different than the food people eat here!! it was amazing though!! Tuesday we worked with a member, she brought us to a bunch of people that the sister missionaries were teaching, it was pretty helpful! lots of new people! They're all old haha! well see if any of them will progress!! wednesday we had interchanges and i worked with our district leader, it was a horrible day haha i felt soo bad that we had a bad day when he came! We hardl had lessons and nobody accepted us! but he came for the baptismal interview and we got it done! Marta passed and her baptism is this week!! Thursday we had a great day planned until they called us and told us we had to go the office of the mission and do stuff for the visa of my companion! got everything worked out and will leave for his mission next month! But it wasted all day so we didt get to work much! friday we had a good day! we did divisions with two members prepping to serve missions! We were able to put 5 baptismal dates and find lots of good people1! saturday we had a long day of a lot of inviting and committing people to go to church! WE ended up committing like 10 people and had 4 in church! it was a bit annoying but we were happy to have 4!! All is well, sunday was a good day, i had to teach the gospel principles class on service! they told me 30 seconds before the prayer! haha but it was pretty good! We had 3 investigators in the class! it has been a good week, im happy, learning, having great experiences every day! i love being able to see the miracles in the lives of the people that we teach! Teaching the gospel and being in the mission is truly the best two years! and i dont think its because the mission is fun or anything like that but because its so easy to just be happy! Always thinking about others and how you can help them really brings happiness! I love this church and i love my mission! hope everyone has a great week!!

Week 31 Cuidad delgado!

Week #35
10-10-16

Hey everyone!!
This week was a long one! not sure why but it felt pretty long! It was all normal! nothing too interesting happened, but we have had a lot of luck finding new people! we were able to put a lot of baptismal goals with people but unfortunately not too many came to church!
We have been doing something new that i have enjoyed a lot. We started leaving to work at 10am. normally we have more studies but we decided that it was a good time to be out working and it has been a success! its a little harder with the first person we talk to but after that its super good! haha were a little more tired after the day too but thats a good thing! it means were working hard!! we have had lots of success finding new people but We have been having trouble helping the people that we find get to church. Its hard when the people dont come to church on sunday because we work so hard the whole week and when sunday comes and theres not investigators it feels like all the work was useless. i know its not because i can still see the people changing their lives but its a bummer! this letter wil be pretty short becaus eit was a really basic week but we are still doing the same things haha! contacting lots of people and have visits in the night time! hermana marta is progressing a lot! she is the lady whoise mom is in the wheel chair and cant do basically anything! She is ready for baptism and has been to church every week and loves it! shes really thankful for the things we have done for her and will get baptismed the 22nd of this month! We are gonna see if we can baptise her mom.. not really sure but someone told us to find out if we can hah! woulld be cool but idk how! Anabell was confirmed this weekend and is now the newest and happiest member in the ward! i loved seeing her at church this week! She also went to an activity we had on saturday! it was pretty fun! we had a soccer tourament and all types off typical foods from el salvaodr! We didnt have too many investigators there so we didnt stay too long but it was really cool and fun! until it rained haha! Anyways thats all that i have really this week, i am sorry it is so short and not full of detail! Thanks for reasding hope everyone has a great week!!

sorry i dont have pictures this week..

Week 30! Ciudad Dalgado!

Week #34
10/3/16
This week has been amazing!! Full of great experiences and great and spiritual uplifting messages, feelings, encouragement and peace! Im going to be brief in how i explain my days because i have lots of things to say that happened this week! Every day we did the usual haha contact people in the afternoon and visit those that we are teaching in the night time! But we have had some great progression with our investigators this week! Especially Annabel! she was baptized this Saturday! After General conference! She had been investigating the church only a few weeks but has had an amazing conversion! She was always willing to do her part in completing the commitments that we invited her to do and she always went to church! She has been my best investigator in my whole mission! I have seen her life change from not believing in god and only talking to us because her boyfriend wanted her to to now having a testimony in Joseph smith and that god lives! that this is his church and that Jesus Christ is our savior! She received her answer in the last lesson it was the pre interview and she said she could feel the truth of this church and said she was ready for Saturday! i cant explain this in all detail because i dont have enough time but i twas an amazing experience that i will never forget! she is 18 and went to all the sessions of conference! she will be a great member! Also Marta, was able to attend saturday and sunday to conference! we wenrt to her house before to help her move her mom into her wheel chair and bring her to church, climb the stairs with the wheelchair and get her into the car of a member! it was hard but a very special thing to ber able to do! She loved the conference and really likes the church! she told us that she thinks it would be good to get baptized! were going to help her get to church every week! I had an amazing week and i want to tell you all so many more things that i have learned and felt but i dont have time! Conference ewas absolutely wonderful! i was able to see all of the sessions and i learned so much about the importanc eof this gospel in our lives and in the lives of the people around us! Members and non members! I loved the most the quote "look to the book, look to the lord" If you want to know about all of the truth and happiness that members of this church have read the book of Mormon! it is true! if you are a member read the book of Mormon you will find strength and motivation to follow Christ and your testimony will grow abundantly! i know that this church is true and that Jesus Christ leads it! i know that Joseph smith was a prophet called of god and that the book of Mormon is not just a book, its scripture and its a blessing from god! read it! please read it! it will bless your life!
Thanks for reading everyone!! i hope you have a wonderful week!!! I watched conference all alone in a room haha! In English!

week 29 Cuidad Delgado

Week #33
9/26/16
hey everyone! this week has been really good but really crazy!
Tuesday we had the whole day planned and we didn't have to fill any time with finding people!! we were able to fill the whole day with investigators that we have! We didn't actually have a chance to visit all of the m but it was nice to have a place to go and not just talk to anybody we could  find haha! We had been teaching these two teenagers who were members of a prophetic church for a really long time and have had a ton of crazy questions about all sorts of crazy doctrines, studying for them has been fun haha i have learned all sorts of things that i didn't know before! but we finally put a baptismal date with the two of them! its just a goal, but we were happy! I hope they can progress and go to church! other than that it was a crazy day visiting lots of people and teaching a lot of the same lesson hah! Wednesday we had a district meeting and had to go to an other area again.. it takes a while to travel so it wasted a lot of our time! but it was a good meeting! then we had a few visits planned, but the rest of the afternoon we had to contact haha! we cant visit everyone every day so we end up doing a lot of contacting every other day or so! We have a family also that were teaching that is really good! Jose Miguel and Ana! the mom, Ana is really positive, she has been reading the book of mormon and wants to go to the church the only problem is that she doesn't want to go without her husband and he has been working a lot. hopefully we can get them to church this coming Sunday! Thursday we ha to spend a good amount of time contacting too, but we found some good people! i was on interchanges with the zone leaders of soyapongo elder Santos. He is a really good missionary! i learned a lot of good different ways to teach a few principles! i don't like doing interchanges, there probably my least favorite thing in the mission but after i always feel good about them haha! i just don't like changing companions.. good thing is that i cant leave my are so when we have to do them i always stay here! We had some good lessons with a few of our progressing investigators, one named marta, she is older and constantly has to watch her ,mom who is really sick and cant do anything for herself.. its sad because nobody helps here shes all alone. but shes really good! she hasn't been able to go to church though but this week we are going to help her bring her mom in her wheel chair so they can both be at church! she agreed to let us come and help her move her mom and put her in the chair and go! I really hope she can go!! Friday we had a day pretty normal.. until about 4pm. We were contacting a  person that the sister missionaries were teaching a long time ago and she was asking why they changed us missionaries so much and we told her that it just happens and sometimes its faster than others, and in that moment.. we got a call from the assistants. elder Perez had emergency changes!:( we don't know why of what happened but tons of people had changes! We were really sad! That kind ruined our day and we didn't feel motivated anymore but we kept working and ended up teaching the lady and putting a baptismal date with her! Saturday we had the "changes" we went to the place and were ready to go there was my other comp and everything and they said okay all of you go back to Delgado and you will be in a trio. .so we went there and the other elder put his stuff aside and as we were prepping to go they called again and said okay elder Aguilar, my new companion you will go to this area for a few days pack a few days of things... so he left and i was back with elder Perez.. they said it'd only be for another day or two but we were happy because we had our baptism and he was able to be there!! After all it was a good day. Sunday was the change.. President came at 7 in the morning and took my companion and i stayed all day with a member haha! it was really weird! we went to invite the investigators and everything! then i waited basically all day in the church for my new companion then when he came we had to wait with the other elder that came with my companion so his new companion could come! im sad.. didn't want my comp to leave but its okay. my new companion is from here! El Salvador but is waiting to go to his mission in Puerto Rico! im finishing his training.. he was in chalate when i was there so i already know him and have worked with him in the past! good missionary! but very different person than me haha! don't think ill be with him very long, he already has his visa its just a matter of when the office calls us! could be a week could be a month. But everything is good now! i have had a good pday, we got to play ping pong! I played a lot! i never lost haha! i really really enjoyed it! Well this week has been a good one and i hope it will continue that way!! Thanks for reading!! Hope all is well for everyone back home!!
hasta la próxima semana!
Tengan feliz semana!

Week 28 Cuidad Delgado

Week #32
9/19/16
Hola Everyone! this week has been really good!
I have just been coming to love more and more this area! Its super cool, and i feel like we are doing really good here! Tuesday we spent a good part of the afternoon contacting and found a few people, not super positive but more people to teach is always good! We also found one of the ladies that the sister missionaries were teaching before and she accepted a baptismal date! We will see if she is willing to take the steps necessary to receive her answer from god! Most people dont fully understand their part in the conversion. Lots wait and dont work, but conversion is really hard, they dont always get that. Our part is the most important.. we need to search diligently and read and pray, go to church. but lots of people arent willing to go or act. Thats the hardest part of the mission, helping people understand that! but then in the night time we visited a few of our investigators, we really have tried to focus on the Sabbath day, and getting people to church! Wednesday we did basically the same! we have been working with member and youth preparing for their missions it has been a lot of fun haha! but we also put another baptismal day with a guy named Rodrigo. he is the son of a lady we found the past week! but they both fell this week because we called them Sunday in the morning ot see if they were going to go to church and she said that she would appreciate it if we never came back to her house because their having problems in the family because of our visits.. we only went twice but the husband doesn't like that we have gone there it was sad but in the future they will realize what they're missin! Thursday we had a lot of time to do nothing! it was the 15th which is independence day here.. all day there were parades and things, until like 2. We weren't aloud to do anything then when we left we tried to contact people! it was great, everyone was home with the whole family but NOBODY let us in to share a message with them hah so after like 3 hours of that we went to visit some members. but it was cool we live on the street where the parades were so we saw a little! pretty fun! Friday we only had to plan an hour of contacting! We can almost fill our schedule with people now haha! were gettin there! we taught a lot of the Restoration! Saturday we filled the schedule!! but some appointments feel and we ended up contacting a but but it was good! we ran around inviting everyone we know to church hah! we went home really tired! Sunday was hard.. we had lots of people ready and committed to church but only the two that normally go went.. we had hoped for about 8 investigators! but theres always next week!! :) Anyways this week has been lots of fun and im grateful for the experiences i have had good and bad! im really lazy and dont feel like bearing my testimony in Spanish.. sorry haha! oh yea last night we found the key to unlock a staircase in our house that goes to the roof and we got to enjoy the night outside! it was pretty cool, we brought our pillows and blankets and played with my laser pointer! Pretty relaxing! Then it rained on us haha! well until next week! thanks for reading!!
I found a place that had coconuts and i had to buy one! haha! they're way different here but it was good!(The picture didn't come through)

Week 27 Cuidad Delgado

Week #31
9/12/16
Hey Everybody!! This week has been really good! But letters are going to continue short. We still spend the most part of the afternoon looking for new people to teach trying to improve this area haha! We have some investigators that are progressing now! but it has been hard to get them to church! but thats okay we are going to get them to go this week! Were teaching one family, Jose Ana and Miguel, husband wife and son that is 9! Right now they're our most positive investigators! They are really interested in the message and said they are for sure going to church this week! We have found lots of good people this week and we hope the best for all of them as they read and pray! We should have a baptism pretty soon! A partial member family! the daughter will be baptized! he already passed her interview! Were excited for her! Im not going to do a daily update like usual because the days are all the same right now.. usually we just spend the afternoon finding people and the night visiting the people that we have! And we enter earlier so there's less time to teach! But i love this area and we are having lots of success! Were having lots of fun along the way and were enjoying the little things that we have in this area!! opening and area is not easy but were doing all we can to improve the ward and the area! Its been a fun and great opportunity! This Sunday was stake conference which was really good! we enjoyed it but it was hard to get investigators to go because it was far and in another gang territory! I had to go in the car of a member because im not aloud to leave my area! It was really good! the temple president and mission president both spoke! They are really powerful people haha! They spoke about the mission work for members and i hope the members feel motivated to help us more and more!! we need there references! those are the best investigators.. the ones that the members prepare! Anyways this week has been really good, but were tired! haha we have worked really hard and done lots of walking!
I'm loving every step of my mission, im learning things i never thought id be able to do and i am closer to the spirit then i have ever been in my life! im almost done with the book of Mormon and have read it really thoroughly! I am developing attributes of Christ that are helping me become a better person and i have nobody to thank but him! Thanks for reading!! hope everyone is doing great!! I dont have enough time to write a testimony in Spanish but i will try next week!! Spanish is improving more and more and i get lots of compliments now! HAaha i can finally understand pretty much everything people say to me!

Week #30
9/5/16
HOLA! Ha Sido una semana excelente!
This week has been really good! im really enjoying everything about this area and my companion! Its beautiful here and just keeps getting better! We have people to teach now and are still finding more but this week we havnt had as much success contacting but thats okay, some poeple are progressing! My companion and i are already really good friends and i love working with him! still going to be a relatively short letter because we still have to spend a lot of the day just contacting talking to people but i will try to make it good! Tuesday we spent all day contacting and trying to visit baptismal dates we had, but it was really good. A youth member whose preparing to serve left with us and worked with us all day! it was nice, he showed us around more and we found some good people! Days feel a lot shorter here because we enter the house at 8 because its more dangerous! Wedesday we pretty much did the same thing but we left with a different youth! and explored a different part of the area! Had some good lessons with ome of the people were teaching and also put some more baptismal dates!! Thats my favorite thing in the mission, when someone says si! when we invite them to baptism haha! Were getting pretty good at it too! most of the new people we teach say yes! Thursday we actually had a day filled with appointments! some of them fell but we got to visit a lot of the people we wanted to! We went to a part of the area thats dangerous haha nothing happened we just got asked for the time a few times so they could see if we had a good phone, and we went into this little alley neighborhood and there were a bunch of gangsters at the end haha they asked us quien busca? or who are you looking for and we just said were just trying to find people to teach and were missionaries and they said nobody lives here so we left haha! Friday we spent all day doing.. bet you cant guess.. contacting haha. then visited some baptismal dates in the evening! found 5 new pwople and put one more baptismal date! Saturday we taufght lots of l1 or the restoration! haha it was a good dsay, but pretty much the same al always! Sunday was good, like being in a ward again haha! more relaZING! AND THERES AIR CONDITIONING HAH! it was fast sunday so we were really tired and had no energy but we worked until it was time to go home! We were very excited to go to slep haha! but i didnt sleep hardly at all last night! dont know why! Good thiung ts pday!! We also had interviews with president! they were really good he taught good stuff!! And his wife gave us all a bag of candy haha! ]YUMMY. Anyways my times up but thanks for reading!!! Have a great week!! }

And my area is beautiful! im in the city now so pdays we can eat yummy food in centro and go to walmart! Pretty excited about that! Elder Perez is suuper cool! we have been working super well together! he has 5 months in the mission! We are already good friends! We have had to contact a lot because the sisters didnt leave us with anything haha but after three days of work together we have 20 investigators and 13 baptismal dates for the 1st of october! We have a huge chapel that is beautiful and sunday was amazing to sit in a normal meeting and not teach any classes haha! This letter will be pretty short because we have only spent the days contacting and meeting members but i love it here! its a little dangerous but its really really cool! How wverything is organized is crazy! but were starting to get to know the streets and stuff! Only lost ourselves a few times! haha all is well! if you want to see some crazy pictures of things that happen in the city soyapongo google it but if you dont like crazy stuff dont! Luckily im in a pretty relaxed area here! but its cool! i see lots of gangsters with tatoos all over and stuff its crazy!!

Este semana realmente ha sido bien especial! Yo he disfrutado mi tiempo aquí y hemos encontrado muchas personas bien positivas!

Week #28
8/15/16
Hey everyone!!
This week has been really good! I have learned a lot about myself, the mission, the culture here, and how i can be a better missionary and person! Tuesday, WE went to los amates and visited a member family that is starting to be active again, at their house they had a friend who likes the church and is interested in what we have to say! she accepted a baptismal date so we will work with her more this week! After that we did divisions with members, i stayed with our mission leader, I went back to our colony and my comp stayed in paraiso! We had a good day, and visited baptism dates that we have in te colony to help them progress! Wednesday was kinda lame, we had a zone conference in the morning but they are in apopa which is far away.. so we had to wake up early to be there at 8am and then the meeting was lie 3 hours and then we ate lunch at pizza hut!! that was good haha! but it took a long time and we didn't get back to our area until about 3. WE learned a lot about the first lesson that we have with people and how we can find their needs and make good impressions! It was a good meeting i learned a lot! When we got back to the are a we did divisions again, and had some good visits in the colony with the usual people! We had the interview with hermana Yolanda, but she didnt pass.. problems that she has with her partner.. We are sad and she is bummed. but we are going to help her get to baptism! she really wants it! Thursday was a good day, short but good! We did service in the morning in los amates and it was really good! we helped them clean up the community! We didnt get back to our house until like 1 thought! then we had to shower and get ready and go to chalate to start interchanges, but we hadnt eaten so we ate in chalate when we got there. We ate good food, but it took a while haha! We started the divisions and i went back to my area with our district leader! We worked in reubicacion 2 and 3 and found some new people and had some good visits! then we returned to the colony and went to teach with the resident of the branch. Had good lessons and then a good dinner at his house! Friday, was a good day also!! It was my birthday but in the mission it doesnt mean much lol! we worked hard! and that was what made me happy! then we had a nice dinner in the evening with a member! she made me a bunch of foods, and juices from el salvador and a lot of fruits that id never had! it was awesome!! great birthday and great meal! Saturday was another day of interchanges! this time i was with the comp of our district leader and he came to my area! it was a relaxed day and we did some good work but nothing crazy! Sunday was the same as usual! but weird because i was with another comp at church! haha! taught the class fo the youth and priesthood! it was interesting! We talked about family history! In the night is when i learned something very valuable that i will never forget! I Learned something about myself and about the mission that will forever help me be a better missionary and a better person! Thanks to my companion! he is a really good person and a fantastic missionary! Thanks for reading!!

Yo he aprendido cosas que voy a recordar toda mi vida!

Week 22 in Reubicación

Week #27
8/8/16
Hey everyone!!! this week has been wild!! Monday was a normal pday with good relax time and yummy food! haha Tuesday we had good day working with a member from another area who wanted to visit some of his family members in our area! good people but idk how positive they will be! After that we went back to the colony and had some lessons with the people that we always teach there haha! pretty basic week to start off but gets better!! Wednesday we had a district meeting and it was in our are so that was nice! then after we had to stay in the house while the zone leaders went to talk to a member in our are for reasons that were really silly and completely misunderstood.. she was calling us a lot and never said anything and idk what happened really but we had to tell the leaders cause we didn't have the number as a contact in out phone.. All went well tho.. no problems just confusion! Then we went out contact a little in reubicacion 2 becaus3e we didn't have enough time to go to the place we had planned after all that! It was good but really hard to find people in the colony there! then we came back and had some lessons with investigators near out house and finished the day with pupusas! i ate 6 haha! Thursday was super cool!! We had the mission temple activity like we had when i started my mission! it was really great! We had 7 investigators there and 5 or 6 less actives! And lots of members! i was a group guide through all the rooms where the missionaries are all dressed up and teaching a little! now for the crazy part.. so my companion got a call the night before that he had emergency changes and so at the temple we had the companion swap! but my new companion didn't come until the last group and i was in the first group so i spent all day there without a companion hanging out with all sorts of different people haha! waiting! then the comp they said i was going to receive got changed so i received a different person haha! i had no info all day so it was really confusing but im happy!! i am now with elder azpilcueta from Mexico! he lives like on the border of Texas haha! he speaks some English too!! Really Really Really good missionary! like pretty sure hes one of the best in the mission! he turned down president when he was asked to be assistant lol! I am learning a lot from him !! We don't not walk up to a house without entering! this week in the three days that i was with him we found 29 news!!! Its been wild! Friday was the first day of work with his and we wet to Santa Rita and found tons of people! he is so good at talking with the people until they let us in haha! i love it! such a nice person and everyone loves him! Saturday we spent mostly inviting people to church and in the night we did divisions with members and i had a really good lesson with our investigator that should get baptized soon!! hopefully this week! She said she felt calm and peace when she said the last prayer and we invited her to ask about what we had been teaching then we read in Galatians 5 where it explains the fruits of the spirit! she cried! it was really spiritual! Then a normal Sunday!

Thanks for reading!!
