Week #66
6/12/17
Heyy everyone! ok this weeks letter is gonna be pretty short because it was a pretty interesting but normal week! haha that doesn't make any sense but not much happened! i actually ended up not working very much.. it kinda stinks hah but you'll see why! so heres some of the highlights!!
1. We went bowling on Monday and it was totally fun! They turned off the lights so it was glow in the dark and our mission president and his wife came! totally a blast! and music was playing reallyy loud so that was kinda fun! even the president was enjoying it haha!
2. ELDER RENLUND, one of the 12 apostles came to my mission and we got to meet him and shake his hand! it was sooo cool! and i was sitting in the front row for the whole meeting! his sucha cool guy and wow hes smart! we learned sooo much from him it was amazing! wishi  could tell you all about everything he taught but the thing that most impacted me was something he said at the beginning. He started by saying today i have 3 messages that i need to share with you from god and his prophet. the one that really hit me was a sincere but sooo powerful, THANK YOU. he expressed with soo much love his gratitude for our service and made it very clear that God specifically wanted him to say that to us, our misison specifically! i was really close to him so i could see his eyes and wow. it was something incredible! i cant explain it!
3. I got really really really sick haha. i was in bed for 3 days and couldn't even move! I got some virus that is hittin El Salvador super hard and has actually killed 3 ppl! I had the highest fever ive ever had in my life! it almost got up to 104!!! I was pretty scared! i couldn't move, could hardly breath, and my whole body was like on the verge of having a seizure! But not really i just dont know another word to use, but yea it was scary! but i got a blessing and and an emergency injection and it went down a little! but wow my body hurt! it attacks all your bones so my back and my knees and joints hurt so bad! it was nuts! Hahah gotta love El Salvador! Im better now though!!:)
4. We Had Leaders council and it was the last one of my mission president! My new president comes this next week! but it was a great meeting! we talked all about what we learned with the apostle and applied it to our mission and stuff it was cool! we made plans and goals and had some good laughs with all the leaders in the mission with president before he leaves! im so sad that he is leaving i love him sooo much! he is an incredible person and such a great leader!
5. i had another meeting with my president and all the ward mission leaders in the stake! it was cool! i organized and planned it, the i lead it! i didnt do much teaching but it was really cool! and president taught soooo well and i know that all the ward mission leaders are stoked to havea ll that info!
6. I HAVE CHANGES HAHA SEE YA AMERICA 1:( :)

Week #61
5/22/17
Hey friends and family!! This week has been a good one! Full of interchanges, learning, contacting, planning, teaching, and finding! no just kidding we didnt find that many ppl this week haha but we looked so thats what counts! we have had lots of success though! we had 2 investigators pass theie baptismal interviews and will have a few baptisms this weekend! anyways heres the highlights!!

1. Interchanges with the assistants! i learned a ton! they work so well in there areas and are working super good with the members! and their area is super cool! I really enjoyed it! Learned a lot about some of the plans president has and were trying to apply it to our zone!!
2. we went to contact the most rich colony in our area and well it was fun i guess! lots of no but it was okay we made it fun anyways! i one read and now feel that i do the same. I leave the house every day to go and give everyone i meet a 100 dollar bill ( even though i know that what i am bringing ppl is much much more valuable) and if they dont want to accept it.. thats fine with me ill go give it to someone else! but we played games so we didnt get bored haha!
3. we have been having lots of good lessons in members houses! we have one the lievano family, alejandra and Diego will be getting baptized, and the family of the 10 year old we baptized a while ago.. theres two ppl there that were teaching!
4. we went to la paz again but this time we did something cool! we wanted to get to know all of the missionaries better so we had companionship interviews! it ws really cool! and we talked about their areas, ppl relationship, ward.. etc! it was cool! we feel like we have a lot better relationships with everyone now! we will finish the last district this week!
5. We have been receiving a lot of member references this week! we have been visiting familis and singing a hymn with them and during the hymn they have to wrute down the names of all of the ppl that the know and after we have them pray and pick a few we can teach! it has been working! we recieved over 15!!
6. We had 10 investigators in church!! I am soo happy, we officially broke the record for this area! i thought the recors was low but anyways were stoked!!!

Week 61 America 1

 Week #60
5/8/17
Hey everyone!! this week has been good one! CHANGES, new companion and more progressing investigators!! Awesome companion, no more assistants in my house! Super good meeting with president, Powerful testimonies and much more!
Here are the highlights of this week!
1. We finally have been able to teach the whole family of Susana and her son will probably get baptized in a few weeks, and were also teaching on e of her daughters! shes really cool and has been to church 3 times now! she really liked it!! which means more baptisms coming soon!:)
2. we got yelled at by some old lady from some other church it was pretty funny, let me tell you about it! So we were teaching this teenage girl not really sure how old she was like 20 but her grandma that is really evangelic.. not sure if that's the word but she yelled at us and said to her granddaughter "SARA come inside NOW, you are wasting your time with them, they have a twisted doctrine and are crazy.." then my companion was like well so you believe in Jesus Christ and she was like of course.. and my companion told her that we did too and she replied.. " But who knows in what form" and slammed the door.. Sara said we could keep teaching haha!
3. we had our leaders meeting with president and it was really good! but really long! l0ots of things are changing in the mission! were not gonna have zone conferences anymore! so i no longer have to teach big meetings with 30 missionaries.. kinda stinks but oh well! we learned a lot about repentance and the importance of using the area book to have more success with less work i guess you could say! it was cool! Ill teach it to the district leaders this week!
4. Sunday my recent convert Susana got up and bore her testimony in sacrament meeting. it was absolutely amazing! she has such a strong testimony and almost made me cry! i teared up! she talked about how grateful she was for the timing when we showed up at her house and how the spirit had really helped her fing te truth! it was awesome!!
5. NEW COMPANION elder Giron. hes from Guatemala. there's 2 new ppl in my house and the 2 news also really like photography! so we all get along really well!!
Thanks for all the support! all is super well here in el salvador! im loving the time jhere, the experiennces that im having and all that imlearning! i have been a misisonary for almost 16 months! times flying by but im taking in every moment! hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

week 59! America 1

Week #59
4/24/17
Hey everyone! this week was pretty awesome! one of the best weeks that i have had ina  while! it was a week full of good news good investigators and lots of success! Were starting to see the fruits of our labors! we will have 2 baptisms this weekend and were super excited! We have found lots of ppl in our area and have been having lots of lessons!!
Highlights of this week:
1. tuesday we had one of the best days that i have had in the mission haha numbers whise. we had 11 lessons, found 6 new ppl, put 4 baptismal dates, and had 25 contacts! thats like 25 ppl we got there address and phone numbers and stuff! it was super cool!
2. We went to the temple and got to go inside! it was amazing! i absolutely LOVE the temple and it was sooo nice to go and feel the spirit in the house of the lord!
3. We had to waste like a whole day going to zacatecoluca which is like 2 hours away in bus to go pick up a birth certificate so missionaries from another zone could have their baptisms.. it was kinda sucky but oh well! we helped someone in their baptism process!
4. Susana lievano one of the ladies that we have been teaching for a while that i found last change told us this week that she is going ot get baptised!! WOOHOO! She is so powerful and is a crazy good convert! she finished reading the principles of the gospel book and recieved her answer of the truth in such a special way!! She was praying about whether or not she should get baptised and she felt an impression to open the bible, she said that she didnt lok for any scripture in specific but she opened to matthew 28 and said this scripture appeared to her in bold " Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"  when she told us about this experience that she had it was so amazing! she later toldl us that the day that we knocked on her door when we asked her for her phone number she was going to give us the wrong number because she didnt want anything to do with the church but she said that she felt something that told her that she needed to give us the right number so she did and now she is getting baptised! the expressed to us that she now understands that that small impression was the spirit and she is greatful for all that she has learned!
5. We had 8 investigators in church! WOHOO! im so happy, but unfortunately the zone is falling a lot so we have to start working really hard to help everyone else so that we can continue to have lots of success!!
6. Im learnign portugese! i bought a book of mormon in portugese at the temple and im readng a chapter out loud every day! i have a new goal to speak 4 languages. English, spanish, french, and portugese! Not in the misison tho just in the span of my life lol!
Anyways.. Thanks everyone for all that you do and have done for me! Thanks for the support!
hasta luego!
sorry this week i have no pics:(

Week #58
4/17/17
Hey everyone! this week was a good one but a hard one! VACATIONS are not that great when your trying to find ppl in their houses for a week... but we had a lot of fun and made all the fallen appointments interesting! We had to walk a lot and didnt have nearly as close to as many lessons as we normally have but it was cool!
Highlights of the week!
1. Tuesday we had 10 lessons in 1 day! that was a pretty great thing! we got to split up with the other two misisonaries that were here but it was cool! we got a lot done! and it made up for the rest of the week that was not so good haha!
2. Wednesday one of the elders that was with us got a call from president that he was gonan leave our area so after lunch we had to go home and he had to pack all of his things so we didnt get much done.. but it was a good day of relaxing and helping pack all his stuff!
3. We had the temple activity that we do every 6 months and i was joseph smith! haha it was a lot of fun i got to talkto like 2000 ppl and tell "my" story of joseph smith.. it was pretty cool! i testifiesd of the book of mormon and invited everyone to read it and pray about it like "I" did.. pictures will be included! But that day was very interesting! we were in charge with the AP to set up in the morning.. we woke up at 3 and got to the temple at 4 and it was very interesting aha! It was dark and we got to be at the temple basically in the middle of the night! setting stuff up and i took some cool pics of the sun coming up by the temple! loooong day tho! my feet hurt real bad haha and i went home and slept.. With permission of course:)
It was a good and bad week full of good and not so good experiences but i really enjoyed it and ii ended good with 6 investigators in church and a yummy sunday dinner!
Thanks for all of our love and support, lots of pics this week! enjoy haha!! Hope you all have a wonderful week!!!

Our goal as zone leaders right now is break records! its been a little fun way to motivate the zone to work a little harder and its been going really well! We have put some good goals for the zone in investigators in church and for baptisms and stuff! the recors of investigators inchurch in this zone was 45 like 3 years ago and we out the goal as a zone to get up to 40! we were having like 26-30 and this week WE HAD 40!! Sister Lievano and her son have been to churcfh threee weeks in a row and invited us to dinner this week! they are going to go to the temple this week for the mission activity and she told us that she believes that the book of mormon is true! Kayla a 10 year old girl we found the other day( her mom is a less active member) is really reaslly excited to get baptised and she is hilarious! I wil send a pic i took with her cause she put a funny set of hats on my head haha! So we took a selfie!
3. This area hasnt had a baptism in like 10 months and we are gonna break the drout! we will have hopefully 2 this month!! WOHOOOO!
4. We had a really really good zone conference and i finally didnt feel nercous to be in front of everyone( the assistants, secrataries, and lots more) teaching it! sop it turned out being really good! i taaught about testimont and could really feel the spirit!
5. We had a multizone! it was incredible! i learned soo much about the importance of obedience and about charity and lots of other things! Our president shared somethig incredible with us that we were all so shocked to hear! And i got to see lots of friends in the mission!
6. theres been lots of eartquakes here! i think its kinda fun because id never felt one before the missoin!

Week 56 America 1

Week # 56
4/3/17
Hey everyone! this week has been really good! i have been feeling really good about all the work we have been doing in the area recently! were working a lot with the less actives so we can make our area stronger and find parcias fmasilies and stuff like that and this weekend we had 8 less active members iin the conference! We also have found lot sof people that are really positive and want to go back to church ! That will help us out a lot in the future so we can work better with the members in all of the colonies that we visit and can receive more references of their friends and family!
Highlights of this week were:
1. We have found lots of ppl that have been really receptive and have been willing ot go to church and keep their commitments! Lots od divisions and not a lot of working with my companion but with the other guys that are here with us! but its helped us be able to make all the visits and be able to look for new ppl every day!
2. I was in the colony where we found that really cool dog the other day and he saw us and came up to me then brought us to his house! we have an appointment with the family this week! haha so the dog gave us a reference! lol! love dogs!
3. All of our investigators that have gone to church have absolutely loves it and are starting to change! I think we will break the baptism drout here in the area this month!!
4. We had leader council with president on friday and it was really cool! we learned a lot about faith and how we can help our zones improve! i learned a lot and really enjoyed listening to president! hes sucha  smart guy! i think hes gonna be a general authority when he finishes his mission!
5. CONFERENCE! I loved this conference it was sooo good! there wasnt even one talk that i thought was boring or not that interesting! i learned sooo much from every single one! My favorite part was when jeffery holland spoke when he said, speaking about jesus christ, " you may come as you are but dont plan to stay as you are". I loved how he invited us to do all that we can to constantly progress! To never accept the falts that we have or think that we are "okay¨ but to see the potential that God sees in us!

I did not have changes but i did receive a new companion! elder Hernandez from Guatemala, and this change there will be 6 people in my house because they sent us more ppl to babysit haha! usually one works with us and the other with the assistants! This weeks letter is gonna be prety short because i had to do a few things today that took up some of my time but i wil give you the main points!
1. This week we have been working in one of the richest colonies that i have seen in el salvador! we have bben working with the church registers to find member families and reactivate so we can have lessons with them and investigators in the future! We havjnt visited these colonies much either so its been interesting but lots of walking! We have found some really good ppl though!
2. We broke the records for investigators in church for the zone!! We had 45!
3. we found like 5 new colonies where we can go work so i will get to explore more area and contact more!
4. The lievano family came to church! well the mom and son.. the daughters didnt want to go. she had an okay experience but not the best so were hoping that it was enough to go again! well see! pray for them please!!
5. We were the highest baptizing zone this month!

Week 54! America 1

3/20/17
Week #54
Hey everyone! this week has been full of fun! Lots of contacting in a new place we hadn't visited with lots of  rich people and more rejection than ever.. but its okay we had fun! and some fun dog contacting.. ill explain that a little more lol! lots of errands unfortunately and full of traveling!
This week we had a bunch of assignments.. we had to go three times this week to tha capitol. and one time to the area super far away in our zone! Firt to take out birth certificates.. one time we had to go in bus 2 hours to get it and get right back on the bus to go home! but its a cool frive! really pretty! Then we had to go get another one in the city hall of san salvador which is really big we got lost like 4 times but someone ended up helping us! then we waited forever to get it and then had to meet up with the elders to give it to them so they could help a family get married and baptized. Then we got a call on the day that we were supposed to have to work all day and we had to go to immigration for my companion.. again to san salvador lol! that took a while but it was cool i got to see a bunch of my friends frmo the mtc! The good thing is is i got to eat lots of subway this week! wow it was amazing! haha! theres TONS of subways here so when we had to run all these errands we conveniently found subways! I LOVE SUBWAY! We found a really good investigator his week! his name is luis! I contacted him like a week ago but we finally got to visit him this week and found out that he has family in utah and theyre members of the church! he seems pretty interested but has his doubts so were excited to be able to teach him! We also had  a great lesson with a family that we found last week the lievano family and they are really excited to learn more! they couldnt go to church though because the smallest child got sick and they had to take him to the doctor.. btu next week maybe! Oh yea and to explain the whole dog thing! we were contacting in a colony where lots of well rich people in el Salvador live.. and it was pretty interesting! i had never contacted people quite like them! they didn't want much but at least they were nice to us! you can buy i giant mansion in this place ofr only 200,000! i thought that was pretty cool! i asked a lady how much her house costed ad tolf her after my misison i want to come live here because i absolutely love this country. idk how true that is but i do love it here and ill come visit someday! haha but anyways we were walking all day in this neighborhood and a dog was following us all day it was pretty funny! i love dogs so i didnt mind! his name is ROCKO! our best frined now.. he  is a great investigator! And he can shake hands! plus his fur is white so we wont even have to find baptismal clothes! jk, but yea it was a great week we had lots of fun! Thaks for reading everyone!!
